Charger Does Not Charge Laptop Battery,
The charger only maintains the current charge of the of the laptop battery. My MacBook Pro correctly indicates the charger does not charge the battery. So in reality this “charger” operates as a power cord would if no battery were present in the laptop. If that’s good enough for you then no problem, but for me I felt cheated because I expected it to also charge up the battery somewhere close to 100%. I’ve used the “charge maintainer” several times, each time for multiple hours, and the result is always the same. Whatever charge level at which you start that will be the charge level when you are ready to shut off the laptop.

I didn’t have time for 16 hours in the car, but with my husband driving and my laptop on the car charger, everything worked out. It worked great, but as was mentioned by another reviewer, the charger needed to be seated just right in the power port or it would not charge. All in all, I am thrilled with the outcome and look forward to the next time I have a driver!

|Had it but arrived on time,
The car adapter for a Macbook works nicely and was a reasonable price. However, for this $35 light-weight item I paid $8.50 for expedited shipping so I could have it in time for a trip. To my amazement, the responding e-mail with shipping info gave an estimated delivery date ten days in the future, when I would be halfway through the trip.
“Expedited shipping” is a complete farce. Don’t waste your money on it.
To PWR+, who requested that I write this review: If you have control over shipping, find a reliable way to expedite. If Amazon does it and you can’t control it, ditch the “expedited” shipping part. You seem to have good quality items and something like this does you no favors.
